As part of our continuing Friday morning conversation series regarding critical issues to the Co-op Community, the Executive Committee of the PCCC and several special guests met virtually with Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone on August 13, 2021. Amongst the guests were Tim Foley, the CEO of the Builder’s Realty Institute, Jane Curtis of the Cooperative & Condominium Advisory Council and Jon Kaiman, Deputy County Executive.

 

It was an extremely productive conversation with ideas exchanged from both sides. We discussed many issues of importance to the Co-op/Condo community and County Executive Bellone expressed a deep interest in these issues and the importance of Co-op Home Ownership in New York.  All parties expressed the importance of keeping a dialog open in order to ensure a productive partnership between the Co-op community and elected officials. We look forward to our continuing relationship with County Executive Bellone.
