As part of our continuing conversation with Elected Officials regarding critical issues to Co-op Boarsd and our members, the Executive Committee of the PCCC met with New York State Senator Anna Kaplan on March 26, 2021. It was an extremely productive conversation with ideas exchanged from both sides. 

 

Senator Kaplan stated that she is closely watching the Corporate Base Tax phase-out and will let us know if Coops will be adversely affected in this year’s state budget. In addition, we reviewed and discussed the Tenant Protection Act and the Coop Carve out the bill; the Good Cause Eviction bill; the Timing and Reasons bill, and the Coop Transparency Bill. Senator Kaplan expressed her support for the Coop community and let us know her doors are always open to us if there are pressing issues.
